About
Communities of Memory is a grassroots initiative to publish uncompromising books that shatter and differently envision the bounds of form, feeling, concept, and politics. As the publishing imprint of the Memory and Resistance Laboratory, Communities of Memory contributes to a larger project to explore and generate living archives of memory. It is a collective and open-ended liberatory practice to dismantle long-existing systems of violence through anti-imperialist, anti-racist, feminist, and radically imaginative means. Our books seek a poetics of relation, a spaciousness in knowing and telling, communal reparation and healing, and radical dialogues on how to build futures otherwise.
